Villa Two

A fantastic location to stay for exploring Matakana. Consider getting a larger unit for more space. Positive: Matakana is a beautiful tiny village. Staying at Matakana Luxury Escapes allows you to walk anywhere in town within 10 minutes. The accommodations are quite stylish. The owner is very responsive to requests and questions. Negative: The furnishings in our unit were sparse and not particularly comfortable. There are kitchen utensils for preparing a meal, but no where inside to sit and eat a meal. The water is very hard, so soaps and bubble bath do not lather.

Stylish and comfortable Positive: Laurence was responsive and easy to deal with. He sent timely, easy-to-follow instructions prior to our stay. Self check-in was a breeze, and the unit was lovely. The black kitchenette looked stylish, and the place was modern, clean and well maintained. The cups and glassware were pretty and added nicely to the feel of the place, rather than being cheaply bought. Negative: A foot stool in the lounge area would be a comfortable touch, but we didn't spend much time there anyway, so it didn't really matter.

Had a lovely stay was perfect for the two of us Positive: Location so handy. Loved the outside bath it was lovely with bubbles and bath salts. Even on a busy road the unit was quiet. Very clean. Negative: Couldn’t get coffee machine to work. And the tv remote back bit over batteries was broken. Thought the nets on ranch slider at entry could be replaced or cleaned.

The stay was great, everything was set up well, the room is beautifully presented, very clean and comfortable. It was easy to get in via the lock box, the instructions from the owner prior to arriving were clear and easy. Negative: The outside area was very small and dark and right beside the parked cars so didn’t feel very private. The couch was comfortable, but also very small.

Positive: bath tub was amazing outdoors, clean and new amenities. location was amazing across from Jin Jin, great food. nice and quiet with lots of privacy.
